Aims: To understand the function of PRP in reduce skin wrinkles.

Design: Systematic review

Data sources: The search strategy included 3 electronic databases: PubMed, Clinical Key, and PROQUEST 2009 to 2019 for any experimental studiesi written in English, which examine the effect of PRP on skin wrinkles.

Review methods: Data extraction, data analysis, and Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool (MMAT) quality assessment were completed on all included studies. Content analysis was used to dentify the effect.

Results: Articles screened 17 research articles met inclusion criteria and were included for dat extraction. There was statistically significant clinical PRP effect in skin rejuvenation or reducing skin wrinkles (p < 0.001). This has seen from a significant value from the study. No serious side effect due to PRP treatment was found.

Conclusion: This current review has demonstrated a safe and  effective treatment in using PRP reducing skin wrinkles. Futher intervention studies need to its outcome when used in combination with  other therapies, as well as  to investigate the mechanisms of action, limitations and preparations of PRP.
