The park has an important rich variety of wild fauna, which is under threat due to Poor Fencing, Human settlement, Staff shortage, Hunting and poaching of Markhor, Markhor as decoration piece, Cage culture or Domestication, Pollution, Construction inside or close to the park, Local hunters, and Degradation of habitat. The park and associated areas of the park needs strict measures for the conservation and status of Chiltan Wild Goat. The lack of Community based conservation, Habitat improvement, Appointment of wildlife watchers, Coordination with other organizations, Research and Training to communities, Controlled urbanization, CPEC reshaping policy, Planed housing schemes in associated areas, policies against climate change, Management of protected areas and Issues identification plans of Chiltan Markhor at Chiltan National Park and associated areas of the park was observed.
