Housing Stress during COVID-19 Pandemic for Housing Affordability

Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic that has hit the world since last year has had a huge impact on the rest of the world. Various sectors are affected because of it. Without exception, the housing sector is also under housing pressure due to the Covid-19 pandemic, especially on the ability to own a house. This paper will focus on the situation that put pressure during the post-Covid-19 pandemic on housing affordability in Malaysia. The methods of this study are quantitative and descriptive. The results of this study obtained five housing pressures of Covid-19 post-pandemic related to housing market dumping, housing market downturn in short and medium term, housing market forecast in the future, land tax arrears and assessment tax.
