Increasing Language Skills through Verbal Linguistic Intelligence-Based Instructional Design

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve students' language skills through verbal linguistic intelligence-based learning design. This study used the pre-experimental design method, with a one group pre-test post-test design. This design enabled the researcher to identify the differences in language skill level (speaking, writing, reading, and listening) of high-class students before and after treatment with a verbal linguistic intelligence-based instructional design. The results of the study verified that the verbal linguistic intelligence instructional design can improve students' language skills with the average value of each skill after treatment increasing with an n-gain score of 68.75. This attests that verbal linguistic intelligence is significantly correlated with all language skills.
